I don't think the author will continue "Nana" anytime soon. It has been more than 3 years since the last volume was released and we haven't heard a single thing from the author after she got an "unknown illness".

The author could have at least inform her fans of her current status but there is no information at ALL after 3 years. Many people are forgetting about this manga as time goes on and I am one of them. It seems to me that the author lost her will to keep writing mangas'. I don't expect this manga to even get finished.

I heard that she was out of the hospital last year, and some rumours (or was it only my imagination?) that she's going to continue the series, but until now, i've heard no other news about it or about her releasing any NANA chapters. I can only hope that one day she will continue this..it's just too wasted to not see this manga til the end. But yes, at least some news from the mangaka would've been nice.

From what I've heard, Ai Yazawa is determined to write again, but has got other job offers (she's a stylist) and doesn't know when she'll have the time to write again. I really hope it will be soon because I hate this so called ending, there are so many unsolved questions! I do hope she doesn't think no one is interested anymore... 😔
It's true that it would be nice to get some news, now we can only guess what's next based on the rumours we hear...
